Billing Issue: Restoral Fee

Uverse customers have a lot of ways to pay their bills. And it is best if you are enrolled to autopay and make sure that your debit or credit card is updated. Nothing is cheap right now. You have to pay for the services that you are getting regardless of it's flaws and deficiency as technology is not perfect like the creator.
Whenever, you have your bill paid late, you need to understand that there is a $5.00 late payment fee. Sometimes, it is hard to waive that amount.

What if your account gets suspended? That's the problem, for every service that you're subscribed to, you need to pay $30. Again, it's $30! So, if you have all three services, phone, tv, and internet, you will be charged $90. What do you need to do to prevent this? If you know that you will be short of budget or you won't be able to pay your bill on time, you need to call Uverse billing department, to make some sort of promissory, that you would be paying your bill on the date that you think you would be able to pay your bill. Once, you and billing rep agree, do NOT forget to get the trouble ticket number and ID of the rep so you will have reference and back up in case your account still gets suspended and you'd be paying for the restoral fee. Please don't call at night. Nobody can help you. Tech support is open 24/7. They can answer simple billing questions but don't expect them to give in to any of your request. Billing is open on weekday from 8AM to 7PM ET. If you have the direct number for the local billing department good for you. I am not sure if those numbers are still working.

Checking Uverse Bills Online

Uverse has a lot of ways checking bills. One of the ways is to check it online. There are 2 ways of doing it. Either the use of member ID which is your primary email address and through access ID. An AT&T access ID is a username that you create that allows you to manage your cellphone, telco (regular landline), internet (pertaining to dsl) and Uverse. (Note: You cannot link a small business account.) A member ID is the main email address that you created on your uverse install or the email that you used to migrate if you had dsl service.
If you have forgotten your access ID, just go to att.com. On the right side, you will see access your account. Just click the link forgot your user ID?  and it will direct you to enter your contact email. Please remember to update your call back number and contact email information especially if you have Uverse service.

enter contact email

If you have not created or linked your account with an access ID yet and forgot your member ID, if you have uverse IPTV service, all you need to do is to get your remote control. Launch U-bar by pressing Go Interactive and then press OK. Scroll to the settings option and press OK again. (please refer to my diagram if you need a guide on Uverse standard remote control)Your primary email will display on the left side of the screen about half way down. If you don't have tv service just call 8002882020.

The secret to reaching a live rep is to say tech support and Uverse. If it doesn't work just keep saying tech support or just keep quiet. If your account is an INId account just contact 877-334-8112.

What You Need To Do In Case You Just Paid Your Bill And Services Are Still Not Working

A lot of people gets frustrated when their tv/internet account get suspended and you paid your bill and after a few hours the services are still down. Here are the simple steps that fix the problem without you calling for help:

Remember that sequence reboot or restart of your equipment help straighten things up. First, you need to unplug the cords of the modem/router. (This applies to all internet servie providers.) Then restart your computer. Take note that if you have uverse your cable boxes are connected to the modem. Usually they use 2wire gateways. Once, the modem/router establishes connection, restart your computers and cable boxes. How? Just hold down the power button (which is the oblong green light on the left side of your box). If it doesn't work, then unplug the power cord of your cable box.
