South Asian Muslims and It's Women Inequality

I have been reading articles and news regarding  the culture of the South Asian people mainly about Afghans, Pakistans, Indians, Iranians and western Asia, Iraq. I was awed with what I have read. Until now, their beliefs are still benighted. Women below 18 are still forced to marriage just to pay debts or for them to keep the wealth. In the yahoo news: http://ph.news.yahoo.com/hope-afghan-outcry-over-brides-abuse-195905756.html, Sarah Gul, a 15 year old lady was beaten to force her into prostitution.

In this Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 file photo, 15-year-old Sahar Gul, is wheeled into a hospital in Baghlan north of Kabul, Afghanistan. According to officials in northeastern Baghlan province, Gul's in-laws kept her in a basement for six months, ripped her fingernails out, tortured her with hot irons and broke her fingers _ all in an attempt to force her into prostitution. Police freed her last week after her uncle called authorities. Horrific images of Sahar, bruised and bloodied, captured on video, transfixed Afghanistan and set off a storm of condemnation. President Hamid Karzai set up a commission to investigate, and his health minister visited her bedside at a Kabul hospital. The in-laws have been arrested _ they deny abusing her _ and a warrant has been issued for her husband, who serves in the Afghan army. (AP Photo/Jawed Basharat, File)

I have somehow read the Quran. It teaches a lot of good values. It's almost like the Holy Bible. I am trying to find in which part of the Holy Book that says people can force children to get married. I wish I can find all the answers to my questions. And I wish this will not happen anymore.

My Inspiration

It is hard to be poor when your relatives are rich. They won't consider you their family. Well, ever since they never treat us their family. They said a lot of bad things to me when they are the ones who are doing everything they told me. Right now I admit that it is really difficult especially that my brothers and sisters don't have a job yet. I will do everything to make our life better and easier. I will work harder for us me to achieve my dreams. I know it's not good for me to take pictures of our house now but I wanna keep it for me to work constantly on achieving my dreams and never give up whatever happens. I wanna show to the people who hurt and maltreated us that we will survive no matter what.

I miss our house. I wish that my late father sees our situation right now. When I went to Bicol where my family is temporarily staying, I feel like crying. I don't know what to do. But I know someday I will surpass those people who pulled us down.

My Last Day

It's my last day today with my outsource company. For four years, my life was different since I came from teaching. When my first time to step on to this house, I was scared because I didn't know what type of people I would be encountering though this is not my first call center job. I worked with Telus. But that time when I applied for the position, Cvg was one of the most prominent companies with high standards. Luckily, I got hired. I didn't think that I will stay that long. But I did. I met friends which I became close to. I have a few pictures who I spent 3 years of my life with cvg.

My life here was like a roller coaster. There was thrill and excitement. I enjoyed every bit of the ride. I know even if I am leaving the company, it's still not the end of our lives together.
