It's More Fun in the Philippines

Philippines is considered a 3rd world country but you won't see people committing suicide or losing hope regardless of status quo. We have so many things to be proud of. We have diverse culture, scenic spots and colorful history. The video below will show you what I am talking about.

This Is Something Good

     One of the reasons why I resigned from my previous BPO company is the over time that they are requiring us to take. For almost 2 years, well, until now they keep asking employees to go on over time because they said they lack staff and it's always swamped. I stumbled on this picture on FB. I wish I had this when I was arguing with my supervisor about not taking my OT aside from being sick all the time. But anyway I shared it on my wall and on their walls.

     I wish they can see the rational why we need to take a rest and they need to take of their employees. The reason why the metrics are now failing has nothing to do with the skills but of the will and the stress that the people are feeling. Make them happy and don't treat them like machines they will see the difference. Imagine even the hr sometimes don't know what they are doing and they have their own time. So when you need help nobody will take care of you. The guards who act us receptionists most of the time will just tell you "unapologetically". I am thinking though if how long will this business run. Anyway, I have seen a lot of people resigning everyday. Meaning I am not the only one and I was not the first one to leave. I gave them good money.

INID and Uverse Is Not Working

     You have uverse and you have a bundled service e.g. iptv, phone and internet. What do you need to do if all services are not working? Honestly, you don't have to do anything on your end. The type of connection that you have is a bit different from the regular uverse account because you have 2 units where your service is connected. But the main unit is located outside which is the 2wire i312v. It controls whatever you have inside. You need to call AT&T right away because it could be there is an outage, inside or outside wiring issue. If the latter is the problem there is a need for a dispatch. If the problem has something to do with the inside wiring, you need to make sure you're subscribed to the home wiring protection plan for you not to be charged. Better pay $5 a month than pay $55 for labor and a minimum of $55 for wires (This is one time payment.)

     What if you have tv and phone working and internet is not? Make sure it is not a computer issue. Check below the picture guide if you have everything connected right and look at the LED indicators on your 2wire i38HG this inside unit which is the router.

The green port should be connected to a working phone wall outlet. It gives data signal to your router.

The light indicators should be correct.

Please note that you can reboot the inside unit but not the outside unit. Do not attempt to troubleshoot i3812 which is the outside unit because this is being serviced by your provider. And you don't wanna be accused of tampering. If after rebooting the router and your internet is not working like the nid led light didn't come up then call uverse and ask them to repair the outside unit.
If your inside unit, i38hg is problematic, it keeps rebooting, meaning you frequently see a red power light, then call this number right away: 877-334-8112. (This phone is for INID customers only. If you are NOT and you wanna try that number, prepare to wait for more than 30 minutes for you to be transferred to the right department.) That means you need to have your box replaced. If it has something to do with the other LED , just try rebooting it.

Karma Is Digital

     When my family left in Nabua, the people who hurt us enjoyed and partied. They were really happy. When we were there on new year's day since my grandmother requested that we celebrate our new year with her, they showed us that their life is good. They even have fireworks and a lot of food. According to the sister of my grandmother, her daughter Jesusa who is working in Brunei has a boyfriend who is filthy rich and he doesn't know where to put the money. Same goes to her youngest daughter, Angelica. She is marrying a businessman whose family is known in our town. I told my family not to envy them and just forgive those people and just go on with our lives. We will still survive and it's better for us to live a simple life without complication. As for me, I don't care if my boyfriend is old and so-so. I am happy and in love. 

     And today, I just received a news that one of the sons of my grandaunt died. I know he drives recklessly.The party is over. They are now mourning. I called my mom and my stepfather and told them the news. My stepfather said, "buti nga". I told him don't do that. I just called to let them know that party is over and now they are mourning. But that does not mean we want it to happen. I told them that whatever happens we just let them be and we make our lives better. We don't mean any bad things to them. But he said it's karma. And our neighbors are agreeing to that. They were like gods in our little hometown. 

I just remembered this song when my neighbors told me that my grandaunt and her family are like crazy now. and I just got a call from my sister 30 seconds ago while writing this that my stepfather is mad at me. I told him to forget and forgive. He said he couldn't forgive those people. I don't know what happened to them. He was insulted in front of a lot of people. And my sister just newly gave birth to my niece and there was a typhoon when they had to transfer to a shanty in a small lot near the pig's house.I don't know what kind of difficulties they are going through. Well, I guess, I have a soft spot on me but my family don't.

     Life right now is really difficult. My plan was to stay and spend my vacation with my family in Bicol. But I went back to Manila. I can't take the situation. The house is a little small. It's just a quarter of the house which is now destroyed in Nabua. They don't have enough food. My daughter and brothers have to walk 30 minutes just to go to school. According to my brother, the teachers teach them basic things which they already know. My daughter and brother are discouraged from going to school. I promised them that once I get them in April they will go to a good school. I mean a school which has advance teaching. My brother and daughter are intelligent. I bought a small house in Teresa Rizal where they can stay temporarily. Yes, it's going to be temporary. I wanna make sure my family is always safe. I believe God will be my divine provider and He will take care of us. 

       I just wanna share this song to remind me that God is not sleeping. He sees everything that's going on. He will be the one who will guide and help me.
